LE POÈME ÉLECTRONIQUE NEW INTERPRETATION AT SIBELIUS ACADEMY OPENING CEREMONY

September 2, 2002. 10am at Tempelliaukio Church

CM&T team re-interpreted the performance of LE POÈME ÉLECTRONIQUE (concept by Le Corbusier. Visualization realization by I. Xenakis and music composed by Edgard Varèse) at the Phillips pavilion in World Fair 1958. It was performed at the Temppeliaukio Church as one of the programs for the opening ceremony of Sibelius Academy’s fresh study term. The 5-day special visualization study camp was set up in a island in Helsinki in order to prepare the performance materials. The camp was coordinated by Shinji Kanki and taught by Juha Huuskonen, now the director of Pixelache festival.

After the performance, a DVD document was created and distributed internally.
