A DAY FOR LIVE SOUND

In order to celebrate the first performance of John Cage’s live sound 4’33″*, that took place on August 29, 1952, I hereby propose an experimental event, A DAY FOR LIVE SOUND.

The date and time: 2013 August 29 Thursday 00:00 – 24:00

The place: Wherever you are

How to celebrate, What to do/not to do:

1. DO NOT listen any recorded sounds! Radio & TV (except live broadcasting), CD, DVD, computer, internet, BGM, alarm clock, etc., basically any sounds that are stored beforehand and played back. (Very simple rule, but not easy one.)

2. Play 4’33″ (any number of movements, or any length) with any instruments including your own voice.

Spread the event and Let’s celebrate!
